GHOST WHISPERER
This American television drama follows the life and drama of Melinda Gordon, who has the incredible gift of being able to see and communicate with the paranormal. She tries to live a normal life by being married, and a mom to one little boy; she even owns and antique store.
She helps earthbound ghosts bring peace for themselves and helps them to pass into the Light. She has many hardships with people not understanding her special gift; and sometimes they push her away, not believing in her abilities to communicate with ghosts.
Most often, the ghosts are angry, and she must solve clues as to why they are so menacing. Which usually becomes a mystery where an investigation with the police are involved.
This is a very gripping and mysterious show, but unfortunately, it has been canceled as of May 18, 2010.
Melinda, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, is descended from a long line of mediums, her great-great-great-grandmother, as well as her mother, were also ghost whisperers. She often receives visions of spirits to help her solve the mystery's as to why they are dead, and what had happened to their lives. Her son is also a ghost whisperer; so she is sometimes able to communicate with the spirits through him to her.
This show is very intriguing! It does however carry some scary and gruesome images, which are not for the weak hearted. But it brings the 'what-if's' in life. What if we were able to communicate and solve the mystery's of people's lives and deaths.
Melinda is sometimes even able to see deaths before they occur; which generally brings a fantastic climax to this hit series.
This can also be considered a very controversial show, for it brings skepticism from most people. Although this is a fiction drama, it still can bring about bad ratings and reviews from numerous amounts of people who think that this in an acceptable show for the masses.
Jennifer Love Hewitt brings a great lead to this show, it was a series she was born to play; for she makes the character Melinda so believable and so life-like, you'd want to take her into your own home, and solve some of the mystery's surrounding it.
It has a lot of great episodes, one in fact where her husband dies, and she brings his soul back to a man who was injured in a car accident; it takes a lot for her to convince him, and the people around her, that he is in fact her real husband. But Melinda manages to bring him around, and therefore further prove to everyone that her powers are great.
Towards the end of the show, it was becoming more and more known that her son, Aiden would become more powerful than she is; which could prove to be disastrous. But we will never know the outcome of that. Which is such a shame, because this show will forever remain a classic tale for years to come.
